Frnge's Tourmaline Choker Necklace is a one-of-a-kind piece. Each necklace features a unique stone set in either brass or bronze hanging from a piece of reclaimed silk. The generous length allows you to tie the choker as tight or loose as you desire.

Brass and bronze are beautiful ancient golden alloys and will last a lifetime. Brass shines a brilliant soft gold when fresh and shiny, and bronze a rosier hue. They both will age and patina uniquely to a darker gold with time and wear. These metals are particularly durable and can be polished to their original lustre and don’t risk fading like gold plated and filled metals, so these pieces truly can become golden heirlooms.

***You may notice some greening on the skin while wearing. This is super common and it just a reaction with your skin and the copper in the brass and bronze. Totally harmless, and will wash off or fade.

When you shop at Victoire, you're supporting designers like Julie-Anne, the Vancouver-based maker behind FRNGE. Dakelh and Metis on her mother's side, Julie-Anne wasn't able to engage with the culture when she was growing up, as her mother was adopted into a non-Indigenous family. She first learned how to bead from her Indigenous school counsellor in Grade 3. Most of her work is beaded using traditional and contemporary styles. She uses beading both to connect with her roots as well as to try to bring something new to the world.
